Hi. I’m Kent, and with me is my incredible wife, Donna. We are blessed to have been married over 30 years and have two wonderful sons.
Early in our lives together Donna worked full time in the banking sector so that I could complete my Engineering degree. From there I started my career and furthered my education while she ran a day-care from our home. We moved several times for better career opportunities, and Donna worked in various roles from in-home day-care to banking to the high school library.
Our older son, Kullen, has advanced through his twenties completing a college degree and moving into management. He has always had similar interests as me, like boating and sports. He is also into video games, rock climbing and Jujitsu.
Our younger son, Devin, had the common interest in video games, but was not into sports or physical activities. He preferred to travel, to play board games, or to watch funny movies or TV shows. He passed away in 2019 at the age of 24 from complications of ALPS and ITP.
Since that time, we have begun to focus on raising awareness and raising funds for research to help families who are dealing with these disorders. We seek no recognition from these efforts, or from this BLOG, but want to share as much as we can, in hopes that other families don’t have to suffer the loss we have.
